Hazen beats Kennedy with walk-off home run | Baseball

Zac Kolterman hit a walk-off home run as the Hazen baseball team beat Kennedy Catholic 4-3 Saturday. The Highlanders (7-4 overall, 5-3 Seamount) took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on RBI singles by Sam Cook and Cody Moorhead. The Lancers answered in the sixth, tying the game at 3-3.

The Highlanders (7-4 overall, 5-3 Seamount) took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on RBI singles by Sam Cook and Cody Moorhead. The Lancers answered in the sixth, tying the game at 3-3.

Kolterman hit the first pitch of the bottom of the eighth inning over the wall for the winning run. Kolterman also earned the win on the mound, striking out seven batters in relief.

Jake Kolterman started and struck out eight batters in 5.2 innings, allowing just three hits. Jimmy Schmidt went 2-3 with two singles and a run scored. Kyle Nelson hit a double and scored a run.

Lindbergh 6, Hazen 0 (April 13)

Lindbergh stayed perfect on the season with a 6-0 win against rival Hazen.

The Eagles (7-0, 7-0) got a shutout from Cooper Stevens. Stevens allowed six hits and two walks, while striking out three in the complete game.

Lindbergh’s Tyler Gould went 3-3 with three runs and an RBI. Billy Hernandez went 3-3 with three RBI. Matt Stuart went 2-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Kyle Arinobus went 2-3 for Hazen. Jimmy Schmidt took the loss for Hazen. He struck out five in six innings, but allowed six runs.

Highline 13, Renton (April 13)

The Pirates got off to a quick start, going up 9-0 after two innings. Jonny Locher went 2-2 with three RBI for Highline. Ryan Ward earned the win. Highline: 9-1, 7-1. Renton: 3-6, 3-5.

Foster 17, Tyee 6 (April 13)

The Bulldogs scored in every inning, including six each in the second and fifth. Connor Forsyth went 3-4 with four runs and a steal. Jake Newnom went 3-4 with three runs. Raudel Sanchez went 2-3 with two runs. Foster: 3-8, 3-6. Tyee: 2-7, 2-7.

Kennedy Catholic 20, Evergreen 5 (April 13)

The Lancers broke out for nine runs in the second. Evergreen scored in each of the first three innings, but couldn’t keep pace. Kennedy: 5-6, 5-3. Evergreen: 0-7, 0-7.

Sammamish 5, Liberty 4 (April 13)

Liberty led until the Totems scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. George Suddock had two RBI for the Patriots and Ben Wessel took the loss. Liberty: 1-10, 1-5 KingCo 3A/2A. Sammamish: 2-7, 1-5.
