The Lindbergh Eagles wrestling team picked up a win this week in a close match with intra-district rivals the Renton Indians and then placed third overall this past weekend at the 17th annual Grandview Winter Classic.
Against the Indians, Lindbergh pulled out a 32-28 victory, with both teams trading wins throughout the meet.
At Grandview, Lindbergh wrestlers James Garcia (285) and Colton Maddy (126) each placed first in their individual weight classes, while Trevonn Russell (195), Jayden Schwope (120) and Westerling Nugent (138) all finished second.
In addition, Maddy was named “Most Outstanding Wrestler” from the tournament, as voted by coaches.
