Tyee 48, Renton 41
The Renton girls basketball team got off to a quick start, but couldn’t hold on. The Indians fell to Tyee 48-41 Wednesday.
Renton (8-4 overall, 6-3 Seamount) had won six straight games. The team remains in third place in the Seamount.
Addyson Stowers led Renton with 17 points. Kelsey Sparks added 13.
The Indians beat Tyee 69-29 earlier this season (Dec. 29).
Liberty 71, Interlake 62
Liberty topped Interlake 71-62 Wednesday.
The Patriots (6-8, 3-3 KingCo 3A/2A) are now in fourth place in the KingCo 3A/2A.
Liberty went up 18-4 after the first quarter. Interlake bounced back to lead 44-43 after three quarters. The Patriots responded with a 28-point fourth quarter to earn the win.
Danni Sjolander scored 27 for Liberty to lead all scorers. Aspen Winegar added 14 and Breanne Faehnrich scored 12.
Highline 51, Lindbergh 32
Lindbergh fell to Highline 51-32 Wednesday.
The Eagles (1-9, 1-9) could only manage nine first half points. Emily Graver led the team with 17 points.
