Baseball: Lindbergh, Liberty win; Hazen falls to Highline

Liberty 6, Juanita 4

Liberty stayed perfect in league play with a 6-4 against Juanita Friday.

The Patriots (3-1 overall, 2-0 KingCo 3A) collected just three hits, but took advantage of three Juanita errors.

The Rebels led 4-3 after six innings until Liberty scored three runs in the seventh to take the lead.

Eric Peterson went 2-4 with 2 RBI for Liberty. Troy Colyer picked up the win for the Patriots.

Lindbergh 14, Evergreen 3

Lindbergh had the offense working Saturday in a 14-3 win against Evergreen.

The Eagles (1-1, 1-1) scored in every inning but the second. Lindbergh knocked 11 hits and capitalized on seven Evergreen errors.

Tommy Kawamura went 3-5 with three runs, four RBI and two doubles. Travis Gundram went 1-4 with two RBI and two steals.

Greg Gasperetti went 2-4 with two runs and two RBI at the plate. Gasperetti picked up the win with 5.1 innings and nine strikeouts. He allowed just four hits.

Highline 15, Hazen 2

Highline went up early and never relented in a 15-2 win against Hazen Saturday.

The Highlanders (0-2, 0-2) were able to get just four hits in the game and suffered on defense, committing four errors.

John Wall went 2-3 for Hazen with an RBI and a triple. Bo Worgan took the loss for Hazen.
