Baseball: Lindbergh and Liberty win

Liberty 7, Bellevue 3

Liberty erased a one-run deficit in the fourth and held on for a 7-3 win against Bellevue Monday.

Liberty (4-1, 3-0) was able to cross home plate seven times while collecting just three hits.

John McLeod pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs (three runs), four walks and striking out seven. He earned the win. Dan Eck pitched for the save.

Nick Hart, Eric Peterson and McLeod got the hits for Liberty. Hart scored four runs in the game, Peterson scored two.

Lindbergh 14, Foster 3

Lindbergh’s offense dominated for a second straight game in a 14-3 win against Foster Monday.

The Eagles (2-1, 2-1) have scored 28 runs in the past two games. Jordyn Perry pitched 3.2 innings in relief and earned the win for Lindbergh. Kyle Swannack went 2-2 with a home run and five RBI. Nikko Kis-Young went 1-2 with two RBI and a home run.
