University of Idaho sophomore Andrey Levkiv earned his second Western Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honor of the season for the week of April 16-22.

Levkiv attended Hazen and won a 3A state shot put title his senior year.

He threw a distance of 57 feet, 7.75 inches (a personal best by more than two feet) in the shot put April 21 at the Beach Invitational. The throw moves him into ninth all-time at Idaho in the event.

Levkiv’s toss was the best in the WAC this season by nearly four feet and ranks 28th in the NCAA West Region.
