Virginia Ellen Luck
Virginia Ellen Luck, 93 and a 38 year resident of Ocean Shores, WA, died on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at the Ocean Shores home of her daughter. Virginia was born on April 19, 1921 in Portland, OR to Earl and Rose Kesling.
After graduating from Washington High School in 1939 she completed beautician training.
On July 4, 1942, she married Charles F. Luck who was serving in the US Coast Guard. At the end of WWII they moved to Charles’ home town of Renton. There they raised their three children: Marjory Eskridge, Steve and Paul.
In 1976 the couple moved to Ocean Shores. Virginia was an organist at the Copalis Community Church, a founding member of Faith Community Church, an OSPD Crime Watch Volunteer, a co-manager of North Beach Community Television and a singer with the North Beach Singers.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Rose Baldino and family of Portland, OR; her three children and their spouses and her four grandchildren. Her husband, Charles Frank Luck, died in 1998.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Community Church, 240 Canal Dr SE, Ocean Shores, WA on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jim Shiner officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow.
Her burial service will be held at the Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 2:00 pm.
