Rosabelle (Rosie) Jeanne Morris

Rosie, a long time resident of Renton, passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2010 at age 87. She was born November 19th 1922 in Bemidji, Minnesota. Later, she moved to Wenatchee, WA where she met and married Ace Hartman. During World War II, Ace joined the US Army. Needing to be closer to Ft Lewis, they decided to settle in Renton, WA. Rosie was one of the original “Rosie The Riveters at the Boeing Aircraft Company during World War II. Rosie was preceded in death by her first husband Ace Hartman (KIA during WW II), her second beloved husband John W. Morris in 1999 and daughter Kathleen Brunetti in 2008. Rosie is survived by her sons Howard Hartman and George Morris; daughters Deborah Tarling and Denise Steele; also many beautiful grandchildren & great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 12-4 PM, Thursday March 25th in the Chapel at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Services to remember and celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday March 26th at St. Matthew Lutheran Church – 1700 Edmonds Ave NE, Renton, WA.
