Martin (Marty) William Landers

Martin William Landers (Marty) passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at VMMC as a result of long term complications of prostate cancer radiation. Marty was a graduate of Rainier Beach High School and the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. He practiced Pharmacy in the greater Renton area for nearly 20 years after which time he became co-owner of Ben’s Loan in Renton where for 21 years he was known as the “gun guy”. He is survived by his wife of nearly 36 years Sandy Guettel Landers, his mother Mona Landers of Renton, two uncles Harris Larsen and Marshall Jahnke both of Wisconsin, his brother Jon Landers of Bellingham, his daughter Crystal (Philip) Burman of Renton, his daughter Nicole (Jon) Jacobs of Renton, his grandson Luke Burman, and his grandson Bodie Jacobs born 1 day before his death. He was preceded in death by his father William Landers a retired Seattle Fireman. At his request, there will be no formal services. A private gathering will be held at a later date.
