Lois M. (Wiener) Ellis

Passed away December 7, 2010, Lois was born on May 31st, 1916, in Lacrosse, WI. In 1943 she & Brandy along with their 3 children moved from Wisconsin to the Seattle area where both Lois & Brandy found jobs working in the shipyards during the war. Five more children were born after the move to Washington.Lois worked for the Applied Physics Lab in Seattle & then the U of W in their Physics Dept. until her retirement in 1978. Lois enjoyed pursuing her many hobbies, spending time with family, & friends.Her parents preceded her in death, also her husband Brandy, her brother Harold, & two grandchildren. Her 8 children & spouses, Susan Madden (Dean), of Manson, WA, Louise Goodman (Joel) of Puerto Vallarta, MX, Joseph M. Wiener (Ann) of Bosnia, Mark Wiener (Susan) of Yuma, AZ, Mary Dill (Terry) of Auburn, WA, Terry Nicholas (Thuy) of Seattle, WA, Brenda A. Beyer (Michael) & John Wiener (Jennifer) of Spokane, WA. 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren survive her. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on December 18th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Renton, WA. At the family’s request memorials may be made in Lois’ name to Northwest Harvest, Habitat for Humanity of Chelan, WA or charity of your choice.
