Lila Mae Campen | Obituary

February 16, 1930 – May 30, 2023

Lila Campen of Renton, passed away peacefully on May 30,2023, at the age of 93.

She was born in February 16,1930 in Renton Washington to Clarence and Florence (Wood) McWilliams.

She graduated from Renton High School 1948, then furthered her education at Central Washington University. She worked for Record Chronicle, then went to the Journal American where she was the manager of the classified ads and was voted employee of the year. She was a member of Soroptimist, Lions Club and loved to work on Renton High School reunions.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George, daughter, Diane Campen, great-grandson, Tyler Hendrickson and brother Fred McWilliams.

She is survived by son, Michael (Deanna) Campen, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren,three great great grandchildren, brother, Don McWilliams, sisters, Janice Hayes (Leroy), Bonnie Benson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family was a constant source of joy and pride for her and she cherished the moments spent with each generation.

Lila will be remembered as a strong willed and kind hearted individual who dedicated her life to family. Her legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

May she rest in peace, knowing that her impact on the world will never be forgotten.
