Joseph Frederick Covey

February 17, 1918 – January 13, 2013

Joe began his career in Renton as partner in Covey Bros. grocery store and was working there prior to his entering into the US Army in 1942. Joe served honorably from 1942 to 1945 during WWII and was stationed in the U.S. and Europe. Upon returning from the war Joe resumed work at Covey Bros. and remained in the grocery business until his retirement. Joe married Betty Barr in 1947. He and Betty were married 65 years and resided in Renton until his death.He was 94. Joe is survived by Betty, children Linda, Joe (Sherry), Elizabeth Plucker (Don) and David, two grandchildren, Jenny Story (Rod) and Jason (Satin), and eleven great-grandchildren.
