Diana Lee (Bailey) Hitch
Diana passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2012. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on May 10, 1939 to Carl Junior Bailey and Dorothy Mae (Wallace) Bailey. Their family relocated to the Portland area when she was 10 years old. This is where she met and married her husband William (Bill) on September 29, 1956. That year they moved to Seattle to start a family, as it grew they settled in Renton in 1961. They remained there for 44 years. Diana was the owner and manager of Puget Sound Electronics. They retired to live in the Chehalis area in 2006. Diana enjoyed being surrounded by her children and grandchildren; she considered them her greatest accomplishment. Family and friends were so important she never missed a birthday, school or sporting event. She would buy gifts months in advance and mark every milestone, no matter how small, on her calendar. Diana also rooted for the Mariners, tended multiple flowerbeds and loved a good visit over coffee. She wore many hats but always put others first. Diana will be greatly missed by everyone. Diana is survived by her husband Bill of 56 years and their five children Terri (Gary) Williams, Karen (Kurt) Howard, Cheryl (Bill) Anderson, Don (Debbie) Hitch, and Lori (Curt) Harvey, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, her sisters Doreen (Don) Shine, Shelly Niemeyer and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents Carl Bailey and Dorothy Gilmore, brothers Robert and Daniel Bailey and sister Vikkie Bailey, preceded her in death. Services will be held Sunday May 20, 2012, 2:00 pm at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Park, Enumclaw.
