Bernice Lorraine Morrison

Bernice Lorraine Morrison passed away on September 29, 2008 at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland.Bea was born September 21, 1920 to Knute and Elizabeth Sunde on their farm in Averill, Minnesota. She attended Moorhead State Teacher’s College and left for Seattle in 1942 to work for Boeing Company during WWII where she met her future husband, Don Morrison. They were married on October 15, 1943 in Seattle. Don and Bea built a great life for their daughters, Carolyn and Kathryn Risa, and lived in the Seattle area their entire married life. Bea kept the books for her husband’s company Don S. Morrison and Associates where son-in-laws, Lawrence Anderson and Andrew Olsen joined the family business. They have been members of Fairwood Country Club for many years. During her retirement, she and her husband lived in Sun City West, Arizona in the winter where they had many good friends. She was proud of her family and they loved her very much. She was truly beautiful inside and out.Bea is survived by husband, Don, of Renton; daughters, Carolyn (Lawrence) Anderson of Renton, Kathryn Risa (Andrew) Olsen of Lake Oswego, OR; grandchildren, Lisa (Bob) Griffiths of Ferndale, WA, Daniel (Christine) Ander-son of Seattle; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Griffiths and Hannah Anderson; six nieces and nephews.A service will be held at Lakeridge Lutheran Church 7465 S. 112th St., Seattle 98178 (206.772.0400) on October 5 at 12:30 PM with a Celebration of Life at Fairwood Country Club immediately following.Contributions can be made to Group Health Foundation, Hospice Fund PO Box 34936, Seattle, WA 98124, Forgotten Children PO Box 9936 Seattle, WA 98109, or charity of choice in memory of Bernice L.
