Local youth square dance clubs from Oregon, Washington and British Columbia will compete for top honors at the 63rd Annual Pacific Northwest Teen Square Dance Festival at Hazen High School in Renton May 4 and 5.

Hazen is at 1101 Hoquiam Ave. N.E.

Youth ages 6-21 compete in one to five categories, including square dancing, round dancing, cueing, calling and club exhibition.

The festival’s kick-off dance is Friday, May, from 7-10 p.m., with Mike Olson and Spike Reid as emcees.

Cost is $3.
