Shot fired

Renton police were dispatched at 2:38 a.m. Feb. 24 in response to a panic alarm at a business. According to the department, an individual flagged officers down upon arrival. The individual stated they stopped to purchase snacks when an unknown person shot at them from a passing vehicle. No injuries resulted from the incident. Investigation continues into the incident.

Vehicles struck by gunfire

Renton police responded at 8:40 p.m. Feb. 24 to an illegal discharge report in the 900 block of Aberdeen Avenue Northeast. According to the department, the reporting party advised they heard multiple gunshots. They did not see anything. At approximately 8:58 p.m., officers responded to a suspicious circumstances call from a reporting party stating his vehicle was struck by gunfire about a half hour earlier while driving westbound on Sunset Boulevard Northeast, approaching I-405. The officer was later advised that a second driver also reported their vehicle was damaged by gunfire as he was driving in the 3100 block of Sunset Boulevard Northeast at around 8:30 p.m. The victim stated he saw the suspect fire at several vehicles. No injuries resulted from the incident. Investigation into the incident continues.

Chased and stabbed

Renton police responded at approximately 2:17 a.m. Feb. 24 to the 200 block of Burnett Avenue South for a report of a domestic disturbance. Dispatch advised a woman was running through an alleyway with a man chasing her. According to the department, the woman was bleeding from the head upon the arrival of officers and stated a known acquaintance had stabbed her prior, identifying the suspect. Investigation into the case continues for assault and robbery.

Fight

Renton police responded at approximately 6:29 a.m. Feb. 21 to a domestic disturbance in the 18000 block of 115th Lane Southeast regarding a boyfriend and girlfriend in a physical fight. According to the department, the suspect left the scene prior to the arrival of officers. Officers observed blood on the face of the girlfriend in addition to deep bruising. The reporting party advised dispatch that his daughter’s boyfriend struck his daughter. The victim suffered visible injuries.
