Two people were injured Saturday morning when a vehicle fleeing from police on state Route 900 ran a red light and struck another another car.
According to a report from the Washington State Police, Troopers were pursuing a black 1997 Honda Accord with lights and sirens activated at approximately 6:30 a.m. Saturday when the car ran a red light at Myrtle Street and struck a blue 2010 Ford van.
The driver of the car was a 25-year-old woman from Seattle. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The car was listed as totaled.
The driver of the van was a 50-year-old man from Tacoma. He too was transported to Harborview and his vehicle was also listed as totaled.
Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident and an investigation is under way. Charges may be pending.
