The two express lanes would connect to existing HOT lanes on SR 167, creating a 50-mile tolled corridor from Puyallup to Lynwood, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The meetings will allow residents an “opportunity to talk with project engineers, learn about express toll lanes, ask questions and provide comments in an informal setting,” according to the release.

The comments will also be included in a report to the Governor and Legislature in January 2010.

The open houses are scheduled from 4-7 p.m. with a presentation at 6 p.m.
