State Patrol looking for suspect in possible sexual assault in May Valley

The Washington State Patrol is looking for witnesses and information in a possible sexual assault of an Issaquah teenaged girl in May Valley, northeast of Renton.

The teen was picked up by a male at about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 28 on State Route 900 near 148th Avenue Southeast and sexually assaulted. She was taken to different locations in the area. After being held against her will for about 30 minutes, she was released, according to a state patrol press released.

The location is not far from Hazen High School.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 19 to 25 years old, with a strong accent, approximately 5-foot-6 with an average build. He was wearing jeans, a dark blue sweatshirt and a dark blue hat under his hood. He had visible sideburns.

The vehicle was described as a dark-blue, midsized pickup truck, possibly a Toyota, with a bench seat. Chained to the inside bed of the truck was a light-blue metal tool box with white writing on it.
