One man was arrested Friday evening following a road rage shooting in North Renton.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Renton Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Pelly Avenue North at about 6:35 p.m. Friday for a report of a collision and sounds of gunshots, according to an email from Renton Police Spokesman David Leibman.

When units arrived they located an unoccupied vehicle on the northeast corner of the intersection that had collided with the sign for the dentist office. According to witnesses the vehicle’s driver had been involved in a road rage incident with another driver.

Both vehicles were driving erratically east bound on North Third prior to the collision. Upon crashing, the suspect driver exited his car and fired multiple shots at the other, fleeing vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot south from the scene.

A K-9 track and witnesses led to the suspect’s capture at Liberty Park, near the Skate Park where he was attempting to solicit a ride.

The gun was located in an alley along the route. There were no reported injuries, but there was damage to a victim vehicle and a residence from the gun fire.
