Drugs on a picnic table: At 7:20 p.m. July 22 in the 100 block of Mill Avenue South, an officer patrolling spotted a suspect at a picnic table with drug paraphernalia spread across it. The officer detained the suspect, who admitted the narcotics were his. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.
Firearm theft: At 5:19 a.m. July 25 in the 3000 block of Royal Hills Drive, an officer was dispatched for a report of a stolen firearm. The victim reported his firearm was stolen from his vehicle overnight. There was no vehicle damage or suspect information. The firearm information was entered as stolen.
Shooting: At 10:30 a.m. July 25 in the 16100 block of 119th Avenue Southeast, officers were dispatched for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect fired a gun at the victim and missed. The suspect was transported to the hospital for minor injuries. After being medically cleared, he was booked into jail for first-degree assault.
Drug paraphernalia: At 5:22 p.m. July 26 in the 400 block of Renton Center Way, an officer noticed an individual on a bench covering their head with a blanket. When the officer made contact, the suspect had drug paraphernalia in her hand and mouth. She was arrested and booked into jail.
Large fight: At 8:42 p.m. July 26 in the 1700 block of Maple Valley Highway, officers responded to a fight in progress. Officers responded and then requested assistance from outside agencies due to the number of people involved, and to help disperse the crowd to allow parents to pick up their children. There were no injuries. One person, an 18-year-old, was cited for fourth-degree assault.
