Renton schools to hold budget meetings

The Renton School District is hosting three public meetings to discuss proposed budget cuts for the 2010-2011 school year. Families and the public are invited to attend.

The Renton School District is hosting three public meetings to discuss proposed budget cuts for the 2010-2011 school year.

Families and the public are invited to attend.

While the state Legislature has yet to decide on a budget, the district is busy trying to find solutions for millions in expected cuts and increased costs.

Topics of discussion include the Lindbergh pool and the reopening of Honey Dew Elementary School.

The district will propose its solutions during the meetings planned for 7 p.m., April 20 at Hazen High School; 7 p.m., April 21 at Renton High School; and 7 p.m., April 22 at Lindbergh High School.
