Renton man killed in rollover accident

According to police, the man wan was traveling westbound on I-90 approaching the interchange at about 10:37 p.m. when he lost control and crashed through a guardrail.

A 36-year-old Renton man was killed Sunday night when he was ejected from his car following a one-car rollover accident on Interstate 90 near the Interstate 405 interchange.

The car, a 2002 Cadillac Escalade, rolled down the embankment and came to rest on Southeast Eastgate Way. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle during the accident.

The driver, who has not yet been identified, was transported to Harborview Hospital. He was declared dead just after midnight.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.
