Renton High senior wins career program poster contest

Renton High School senior Tony Lee is this year’s Renton School District Career and Life Skills Education poster contest winner.
The poster contest is part of the annual week-long celebration of the Association for Career and Technical Education, held the second week of February. About 50 posters were submitted from high school students through out the district. This year’s theme was: “Learning Today, Earning Tomorrow.”
Lee will receive a $500 scholarship from Renton Kiwanis Club and his poster is on display on a billboard across from Renton City Hall, courtesy of ClearChannel.
He is a student of Susan Johnson’s visual-arts class where he has taken video production and visual communications for two years. Lee plans on attending Bellevue Community College to study engineering.
Lee loves art, but sees it as a hobby. He plans to continue coursework in photography and video production on the side.
The billboard of Lee’s poster will be on display until March 6.
