RENTON HIGH CENTENNIAL: Memorabilia needed for big event

(Editor’s note: During the next several weeks, the Renton Reporter will help the organizers of the Renton High School Centennial Celebration get the word out about what’s needed to make the event a success.)

The Friends of Renton High School are looking for Renton High School memorabilia to display during the school’s Centennial event on May 7 at the school.
“We have lots of trophies and most all annuals but would really like to have items that are your memories, etc.” said Roxanne (Nelson) Hanson, one of the event organizers.
The memorabilia will be returned the following week or that day if attending the celebration to mark the school’s 100th anniversary.
The organizers are looking for such items as a sweater, cheer uniform, buttons, the “R” keg, senior radiator, sports or other uniforms, pictures, tickets from the Loop, the XXX Barrel.”
“We would like most anything that will bring back memories of your days at RHS,” said Hanson.
Those with memorabilia to share are asked to e-mail rhanson@rentonhighschool.org
