Renton Community Foundation presents grants at Circle of Giving ceremony

The Renton Community Foundation presented more than $34,000 in grants to 20 Renton-area, non-profit organizations at the Circle of Giving awards ceremony Wednesday.

The Renton Community Foundation presented more than $34,000 in grants to 20 Renton-area, non-profit organizations at the Circle of Giving awards ceremony Wednesday.

Receiving the unrestricted grants were:

Renton Clothes Bank, Vision House, Salvation Army, the Renton School District, Allied Arts, St. Vincent de Paul/Renton, Renton Community Foundation, Communities in Schools of Renton, Renton Annual Art Show, City of Renton Community Services Department, King County Sexual Assault Resource Center, Way Back Inn, St. Matthews After School Program, Pediatric Interim Care Center, RotaCare, Renton Area Youth & Family Services, Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays, ARISE, NW Harvest & Rotary First Harvest.

The foundation’s new giving club, The Next Curve, also distributed its first round of grants at the ceremony at the Renton Senior Center. The club awarded $6,250 to the following groups:

Birthday Dreams, Evergreen City Ballet, Renton Area Youth & Family Services, Renton Clothes Bank, Renton History Museum, Salvation Army, Way Back Inn and WSU King County Extension Food Sense CHANGE Program.
