Nelsen students hear about careers, healthy life choices

Nelsen Middle School held its third annual Impact Day on Thursday.

For the event themed “Tell Your Story,” the school invited more than 50 speakers from the community to present to students on their careers, life experiences and healthy life choices.

The idea was to inspire the students to learn from the presenters and reach their own potential.

Some of the speakers included Charlene Strong, Washington Human Rights Commissioner; Andy Wappler, Puget Sound Energy; Dr. Leslie Braxton, New Beginnings Church, and Russ Fox, Federal Bureau of Investigation.
