After a brief respite on Friday, the winter rains are scheduled to return for the rest of the weekend.

The National Weather Service is calling for a 100 percent chance of rain today, Saturday, possibly heavy at times with a high near 51. The rain continues overnight with up to one inch possible and low temperatures around 46.

The rain continues Sunday with a high near 53, dropping to 43 overnight with showers continuing.

Monday brings a 40 percent chance of showers under mostly cloudy skies and a high of 50.
