Piazza Renton will hold its annual Spring Festival, Saturday, May 7, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Piazza park in downtown Renton at Third and Burnett. The annual spring festival will feature 60 vendors showcasing arts and crafts, jewelry, and hand-crafted items—including items for children, dogs, and house-wares.
The festival is run by a team of volunteers from Piazza Renton, the group that oversees all of the downtown events, including the Return to Renton Car Show, the Fall Harvest Festival, the annual tree lighting, and this year, the annual art walk.
The Lions Club will be on hand to serve hot dogs and beverages, and music will be provided by a disk jockey.
The City of Renton will also be sponsoring a Poker Tour — a fun activity, that gets participants milling through downtown Renton, building a hand of poker, with the possibility of winning prizes. There is a suggested donation to bring a canned food item for the Salvation Army Food Bank.
The Piazza Renton volunteers are also the team that runs the 17-week Farmer’s Market.
