Workers on the Rainier Avenue project are expected to begin paving the east side of the roadway tonight, June 24 through June 28, weather permitting.

Additional lane closures are possible during paving, but should be limited in time and duration as the northbound lanes are being paved.

Following the paving, additional work on the east side of the road will be necessary to complete the sidewalks, with expected completion of that portion of the project by early August.

Following the paving and sidewalks, work will begin on the new median being installed.

Paving is limited to the overnight hours to try not to disrupt commutes.
