Washington State Patrol is searching for a vehicle after it allegedly hit a pedestrian in Renton and fled.
At about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 16, WSP received a 911 call reporting a car vs. pedestrian collision. According to WSP, this collision occurred on State Route 900 near 164th Avenue Southeast in Renton.
WSP stated that further reports advised that the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene and was last seen turning southbound onto Southeast May Valley Road. According to WSP, troopers arrived at the scene and collected evidence after the pedestrian was transported to the hospital. WSP Trooper Rick Johnson stated that the pedestrian, a 21-year-old male, sustained a bump to his head and a couple of minor lacerations, and his leg is sore.
WSP stated that the suspect vehicle was damaged and that the passenger-side mirror was broken off in the collision. According to WSP, the suspect vehicle is a silver or gray Honda Accord, model years 2018 to 2022.
