Money stolen from dead husband’s checking account

The following entries are provided by the King County Sheriff’s Office:

FRAUD

• On Jan. 30 officers were contacting regarding reports that $2,800 was taken from a joint checking account that was shared with the suspect’s deceased husband.

ILLEGAL FIREARM

• On Feb. 1 it was reported to officers that a round from an unknown firearm was embedded in the side of the reporting party’s house. The police report stated that it appeared the shot may have come from across the street.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

• On Feb. 1 officers were called because herion-filled needles were found near a suspicious vehicle.

FAMILY DISTURBANCE

• On Feb. 1 it was reported that a verbal argument turned physical involving pushing and grabbing.

• On Feb. 3 officers responded to reports that adult siblings were reportedly fighting over frozen pancakes.

TRESPASS

• On Feb. 2 officers were dispatched to the area behind the L.A. Fitness in Fairwood. It was reported that a man and woman were naked in a parked car and were having sex. The police report stated that the two subjects were trespassed and the vehicle was impounded.

AUTO THEFT

• On Feb. 3 it was reported to officers that the victim’s vehicle had been stolen from outside his property. The police report stated that when his wife went to work the vehicle was still there but when his kids left for school it was missing.

VEHICLE RECOVERY

• On Feb. 3 it was reported that a vehicle was found left on the side on the road, in a ravine. The police report stated the vehicle’s owner had reported their vehicle missing on Oct. 19, 2016. The report added it is not clear when the vehicle had been dumped on the side of the road.

DUI ACCIDENT

• On Feb. 3 officers responded to the Arco gas station in Fairwood to reports of a hit and run. The police report stated that the accident involved a driver that was driving under the influence.

BURGLARY

• On Feb. 4 officers were contacted by the reporting party who said she was confronted by a male in his 20’s near the front porch of her apartment. The report stated she let him borrow her cellphone to call a friend. The report added it appeared someone had tried to gain entry to her apartment by prying off the screen on a window but the window itself was locked.

• On Feb. 5 it was reported that the victim’s condo was burglarized overnight. According to the police report there was no sign of forced entry. The report added that the victim’s daughter had stopped by and may have left without locking the door.

FOUND PROPERTY

• On Feb. 1 it was reported that a suitcase that was stolen from a vehicle prowl was found near the On The Green at Fairwood condos. Inside the suitcase was a bowling ball and other equipment. The police report stated the victim is currently out of the country and could not be contacted.

ASSAULT

• It was reported on Feb. 1 that a verbal dispute had happened between a 6 and 8 year old. The police report stated that the incident then became a verbal argument between the parents.

Property Lost

• On Feb. 6 officers were contacted regarding a pistol that the reporting party said they lost while on a hike.
