Mom, daughter argue over credit card

The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports.

A Renton mother and daughter got into a physical fight over a credit card on Feb. 24.

Police went to a residence in the 600 block of Shelton Avenue Northeast following a report the 56-year-old mother kicked her 18-year-old daughter in the chest. Apparently the mother had been drinking and was trying to make purchases with the credit card the father was going to use to pay bills, according to the daughter. She confronted her mother about the card, which sparked the argument. The mother claims she was using the card to pay for bills.

Police noticed a red mark around the daughter’s collarbone which was consistent with her story.

The mother was arrested for investigation of fourth-degree assault.
