Miss Washington contestants headed to Renton and Burien

The competition will take place July 5- 6 at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien. Miss Washington 2013 will will go on to compete for the title of Miss America 2013, in Atlantic City, N.J. on Sept. 15.

Twenty-two of the state’s most talented, bright and beautiful young women, ages 17 to 24, will be in Renton and Burien, Washington to compete for Miss Washington 2013 (MWSO) competition, the official state pageant of the Miss America Organization.

The competition will take place July 5- 6 at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien. Miss Washington 2013 will will go on to compete for the title of Miss America 2013, in Atlantic City, N.J. on Sept. 15.

Promoting scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for Washington’s teens, the MWOTeen contestants will be judged on personal interview, talent, evening wear and on-stage question, academic achievement and lifestyle & fitness in active wear.

The official contestant arrival will be at 1 p.m. June 30 at the Renton Pavilion Event Center. Contestants will make appearances in the local community including visiting Children’s Hospital in Seattle, the Renton Farmer’s Market and including iFly on July 4th.

Preliminary night of the pageant is July 5, beginning at 7 p.m. and the final night and crowning will be at 7 p.m. July 7.
