A large crowd celebrated spring in sunny downtown Renton during the Spring Festival and Downtown Poker Run and Renton Women’s Show last weekend.

Piazza Renton’s seventh annual Spring Festival was Saturday from noon-5 p.m. at the Piazza. More than 40 vendors sold their wares during the festival, amid music, entertainment and children’s activities.

The Downtown Poker Run ran Saturday from noon-4 p.m. at about 32 downtown businesses. Organizers say the event drew about 150 participants competing for the more than $1,000 in prizes that were awarded.

The Renton Women’s Show Friday and Saturday at the Spirit of Washington Event Center also drew a large crowd, said Renton Business and Professional Women President Irene Roberts. BPW put on the show, as well as a dinner and two auctions Friday.
