The King County Youth Summit 2011, designed for grades 8 through 12, is March 19.
Hosted by the organization’s advisory group, Puget SoundOff, Seattle Parks and Recreation and ArtAffect, the event is 1-10 p.m., March 19 at Cleveland High School, 5511 15th Ave. S. in Seattle. The conference will bring together 250 youth throughout King County.
The conference is designed for youth from different organizations, schools and communities to meet, learn, share ideas and experiences. There will be activities from workshops to a resource fair meant to emphasize interaction and discussion.
At the youth summit, teens will learn how and where they can get involved.
The conference will have two workshop series, roundtable discussions on specific topics (homelessness, education, youth violence, etc.) a resource fair, dinner and a social event.
