The King Conservation District presents a free community workshop on Beautifying & Caring for Your Waterfront Property for homeowners living on streams, lakes and wetlands. The program is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at the Kent Library, 212 2nd Ave N.

Restoration experts will lead the class and cover such topics as: minimizing pollution runoff on your property; controlling invasive weeds; utilizing native plants for wildlife habitat and erosion control; adding value and beauty to your yard naturally; and learning about environmental regulations that impact your property.

The workshop is for anyone looking for information or assistance in managing their property to enjoy their waterfront while protecting the environment.

Light refreshments will be provided.
