I-405 UPDATE: Lane, ramp closures through Jan. 22

Drivers on I-405 can expect possible late night and early morning delays through Renton and Bellevue next week as crews close ramps and lanes for construction work.

The following closures are scheduled from Monday, Jan. 18 – Friday, Jan. 22. The closure information can change frequently, so please check our I-405 construction Web site throughout the week for updates.

RENTON

I-5 to SR 169 Stage 1 widening

Tuesday, Jan. 19 – morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the carpool lane on northbound I-405 between I-5 and the West Valley Highway nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Tuesday, Jan. 19 – Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close one lane in each direction on Oakesdale Avenue Southwest between Southwest Grady Way and South 16th Street daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for construction work.

I-5 to SR 169 Stage 2 widening

• Monday, Jan. 18 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from SR 167 to SR 169 nightly from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.

• Monday, Jan. 18 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close up to two lanes on southbound I-405 from SR 169 to SR 167 nightly from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for construction work.

BELLEVUE

South Bellevue widening

• Wednesday, Jan. 20 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close up to three lanes on southbound I-405 from Southeast Eighth Street to Coal Creek Parkway nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping. This work is weather dependent.

• Wednesday, Jan. 20 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the on-ramp from Coal Creek Parkway to southbound I-405 nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping. This work is weather dependent.

Northeast Eighth Street to SR 520 braided ramps – interchange improvements

• Tuesday, Jan. 19 – Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close one eastbound lane and the sidewalk on the Northeast 12th Street Bridge daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for construction work.

• Wednesday, Jan. 20 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the right lane on northbound I-405 from Northeast Eighth Street to SR 520 nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Wednesday, Jan. 20 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the on-ramp from westbound Northeast Eighth Street to northbound I-405 nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction work.

Northeast 10th Street Bridge

• Tuesday, Jan. 19 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close up to two left lanes on northbound I-405 from Northeast Fourth Street to Northeast 12th Street nightly for construction work. The first lane will close at 9 p.m. and the second lane will close at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.

• Tuesday, Jan. 19 – Crews will close the off-ramp from northbound I-405 to Northeast Sixth Street from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the right lane on eastbound Northeast Eighth Street nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction work.

• Thursday, Jan. 21 – Crews will close the on-ramp from Northeast Sixth Street to northbound I-405 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close up to two right lanes on northbound I-405 from Northeast Fourth Street to Northeast 12th Street for construction work. The first lane will close at 9 p.m. and the second lane will close at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen at 6 a.m.

• Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the on-ramps from both directions of Northeast Eighth Street to northbound I-405 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Friday, Jan. 22 – Crews will close the on-ramp from Northeast Fourth Street to northbound I-405 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.
