I-405 UPDATE: Lane, ramp closures through Jan. 15

Late night and early morning drivers should prepare for nighttime delays in Renton and Bellevue next week while crews close ramps and lanes for construction work.

The following closures are scheduled from Friday, Jan. 8 – Friday, Jan. 15. The closure information can change frequently, so check the I-405 construction Web site throughout the week for updates.

RENTON

I-5 to SR 169 Stage 1 widening

• Monday, Jan. 11 – morning of Thursday, Jan. 14 – Crews will close up to two lanes in both directions on I-405 between I-5 and Oakesdale Avenue Southwest for construction work. The first lane will close at 10 p.m. and the second lane will close at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

• Thursday, Jan. 14 – Crews will close one lane in both directions on I-405 between I-5 and SR 167 from 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Monday, Jan. 11 – Friday, Jan. 15 – Crews will close one lane in each direction on Oakesdale Avenue Southwest daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for construction work.

I-5 to SR 169 Stage 2 widening

• Monday, Jan. 11 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 15 – Crews will close the right lane on northbound I-405 from SR 167 to SR 169 nightly from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.

• Monday, Jan. 11 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 15 – Crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from SR 167 to SR 169 nightly from 11:59 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.

• Monday, Jan. 11 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 15 – Crews will close the right lane on southbound I-405 from SR 169 to SR 167 nightly from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for construction work.

• Monday, Jan. 11 – the morning of Friday, Jan. 15 – Crews will close up to two lanes on southbound I-405 from SR 169 to SR 167 nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for construction work.

BELLEVUE

• Friday, Jan. 8 – WSDOT crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from Northeast 44th Street to 112th Avenue Southeast for sign work. The first lane will close at 11 p.m. and the second lane will close at midnight. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.

SOUTH BELLEVUE WIDENING

• Monday, Jan. 11 – the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 13 – Crews will close the ramp from northbound I-405 to westbound I-90 nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.

• Monday, Jan. 11 – the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 13 – Crews will close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 from Coal Creek Parkway to I-90 nightly for construction work. The first lane closes at 8 p.m. and the second lane closes at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.
