GARBAGE STRIKE UPDATE: The collection schedule for Friday

Here is the routine for garbage collection in Renton on Friday, the third day of a strike by the Waste Management garbage haulers, according to the company. It is slightly different than what the company announced earlier Thursday.

Schedule updates are available on the Waste Management Web site.

RESIDENTIAL

• If your garbage was not collected on Wednesday, April 21, it will be collected on Friday, April 23. If your garbage was not collected on Thursday, April 22, it will be collected on Saturday, April 24. Please put only your garbage containers at the street on Friday morning, April 23.

• Renton curbside food and yard waste will be collected as scheduled next Thursday, April 29.

• Renton curbside recyclables will be collected on your next scheduled recycling day, Thursday, May 6.

COMMERCIAL

Waste Management will collect commercial garbage and recyclables as soon as possible, with priority to accounts like hospitals and nursing homes, where public health and safety is a priority.

The company’s drivers went on strike Wednesday.
