FRIDAY CLOSURE UPDATE: Weather forces changes in city building schedules; classes canceled

The City of Renton has announced the following weather-related closures or schedule changes for today (Friday). For more information, go to rentonwa.gov.

• The Highlands and North Highlands Neighborhood Centers are open regular hours and will close at 9 p.m. tonight.

• The Renton Community Center is open regular hours and will close at 8 p.m. tonight.

• The Senior Activity Center is open regular hours and will close at 5 p.m. today.

• The Museum will close at 3 p.m. today and remain closed Saturday.

• The Highlands Library is closed.

• The Downtown Library is open regular hours and will close at 6 p.m. today.

• The RiverRock Grill & Ale House at Maplewood Golf Course is open for regular business hours.

• The Maplewood Golf Course and Driving Range are closed. The Maplewood Pro-Shop is open for regular business hours.

• All Renton recreation classes and activities have been canceled for today (Friday).

City of Renton inclement weather policy: In the case of inclement weather, Renton School District procedures will be followed. If Renton schools are closed, all City of Renton recreation classes and activities will be canceled. If schools are two hours late, all classes and activities scheduled to begin before 11 a.m. will be canceled. All others will be held as sceduled.
