Roundups: Renton-Lindbergh matchups

Another huge Marcissa McMillan performance led the Lindbergh girls basketball team to a 60-49 win against Renton Tuesday night.

McMillan scored 29 points, collected 15 rebounds and blocked five shots. The 6-foot-2 senior is now averaging 20.8 points, 18.0 rebounds, 5.3 blocks and 2.5 assists per game this season (six games).

Emily Graver, Jordan Halingstad and Ashley Hilde scored eight points each for Lindbergh. Brandi Lindsay scored seven points as five players totaled all of the Eagles’ points.

Christina Hay and Kelsey Sparks led the Indians with nine points each. Vanessa O’Francia and Addyson Stowers scored eight each.

Heading into winter break, Lindbergh is tied for third in the Seamount with a 3-3 overall and 2-1 league record. Renton is tied for fifth at 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the league.

On the boys side, Renton ran out to a 29-6 lead in the first quarter and beat Lindbergh 76-32.

Twelve Renton players scored in the game. Eight players scored five points or more. Nathan Guy led the way with 13 points. Derek Lowe scored 11 and Joseph Holifield scored 10.

Dallas Searles led the Eagles with nine points. Demarr Ferguson scored eight and Devin Bickham scored six.

Renton is tied with Foster for first in the Seamount and stands at 4-1 overall, 3-0 in league. Lindbergh is tied for fifth with Hazen and Highline. The Eagles are 1-4 overall and 1-2 in league.
