The deadline to remove political signs from private property and public right of ways is Tuesday, Nov. 22, in keeping with the city’s efforts to keep Renton free of clutter and litter.
In 2011 the City of Renton established new penalties for those who do not remove political signs in a timely manner from public right of ways within the Renton city limits. All political campaign signs need to be removed within 14 days following the November General Election. Any such sign that is not removed by the deadline shall be subject to a penalty of $100 per sign, up to a total of $10,000, and loss of the signs.
