Deadline for Veterans Memorial Park engraved plaques is fast approaching

Though Memorial Day is still a few months away, the deadline for engraved tile plaque applications at Renton’s Veterans Memorial Park is fast approaching.

The annual application deadline is Feb. 28, which is a Tuesday this year.

Any United States veteran of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy or Space Force is eligible for a tile plaque, regardless of residency.

There are a few different ways to apply for a tile plaque. Online orders can be made at rentonwa.gov/veteranspark where paper applications can be downloaded as well.

There is a $75 fee, which must be paid with either a check or money order, and must be made out to City of Renton. The city’s Veterans Memorial Park is located at 1055 South Grady Way.
