The Renton City Council will receive an update briefing on marijuana regulations during the committee of the whole meeting Monday prior to it regular council meeting.

During the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., the council will hear a special presentation on employee promotions at the fire and emergency services department and conduct a public hearing on the Renton Housing Authority’s petition to vacate a portion of a right-of-way on Sunset Lane Northeast.

The council will also consider an addendum to an interlocal agreement with fire district 40.

The Committee of the Whole meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and a reception for the fire and emergency services promotions is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
