Renton City Hall and most city offices and buildings will be closed on Oct. 12, when city employees take the day off without pay to cut city expenses and help balance the city’s budget.

Buildings that willl close include the libraries, the Senior Activity Center, and the Renton History Museum.

The Maplewood Golf Course will be open and garbage will be collected.
