Threatened with a gun

Renton officers responded at 1:23 p.m. March 10 to the 1500 block of Houser Way for a report of a threat involving a weapon. The victim reported to police that a man that she had a no-contact order against had threatened her. At one point, the suspect fired his gun, the victim reported. According to the department, no injuries or damages resulted from the incident. Officers arrested the suspect without incident shortly after arrival at the scene, according to the department.

Carjacking

Renton police responded at 11:11 p.m. March 8 to a 911 hangup in the 200 block of Southwest 7th Street. According to the department, officers arrived and learned the victim was carjacked in the 800 block of Southwest 7th Street. The victim explained to officers that up to four men had assaulted him and stole his vehicle. Investigation into the incident continues, according to the department.

Assault at Hazen High School

Renton officers responded at approximately 10:45 a.m. March 8 to an assault at Hazen High School at 1101 Hoquiam Avenue Northeast. According to the department, the victim told police the suspect assaulted him as a result of him not paying the suspect the money he owed. Officers developed probable cause to charge the suspect for assault in the fourth degree and referred charges to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Sexual assault

Renton officers responded at approximately 12:31 p.m. March 6 to a report of a sexual assault at St. Clare Hospital, a medical facility at 11315 Bridgeport Way Southwest in Lakewood. According to the department, the medical professional said a victim reported the assault occurred in the 1600 block of Benson Road South in Renton. The victim chose not to report the incident and left when officers arrived.
