Armed robbery

Renton police were dispatched on Dec. 3 at approximately 12:35 a.m. to a recent robbery with a firearm that occurred at a residence in the 6200 block of Northeast 3rd Street. According to the department, officers contacted two men who advised at approximately 12:30 a.m. as they walked in the area to a nearby convenience store, an older green vehicle slowly passed and arrived at a stop in front of the men in the 400 block of Rosario Avenue Northeast.

A man wearing all black exited the driver’s side and aimed a handgun with an extended magazine at the two victims, demanding the victims’ cash and cellphones. Both victims complied and the suspect vehicle fled westbound on Northeast 4th Street. The department described the suspect as a Black or Hispanic man in his mid-30s. Neither victim was able to track their phones, according to the department.

Drugs and attempted assault of police

Renton police were dispatched on Dec. 1 at approximately 10:31 a.m. to a malicious mischief report in the parking garage of an apartment complex on the 200 block of Burnett Avenue South. According to the department, the reporting party advised dispatch that an unknown woman was striking the trunk of their vehicle. Officers arrived and observed the described suspect sitting on a curb near the victim vehicle.

Officers saw no one else in the vicinity of the subject, and she started to collect and store the drug paraphernalia in a cross-body bag. Officers advised the suspect to leave the items on the ground and that she was not free to leave, according to the department. The woman continued to disobey officer commands and attempted to flee.

Officers arrested the woman after she attempted to physically fight with officers for public ingestion of dangerous drugs, attempted assault of a law enforcement officer, malicious mischief, and an outstanding domestic warrant out of Bellevue, according to the department.
