James Alberson takes lead against Joe Todd in race for Renton City Council seat

Their election has the largest margin of any in Renton during early vote counts.

Based on vote counts announced on Nov 15. at 3:39 pm.

James Alberson has taken a lead over Joe Todd in the race for Renton City Council Position No. 1.

With 29.31% of registered voters ballots counted, Alberson has earned 59.14 % (9,774 votes) of the votes, and Joe Todd has earned 40.41% (6,679).

The race for city council position no. 1 has the largest margin of any Renton position that does not have a candidate running unopposed.

Todd had the highest amount of campaign contributions ($65,755) and expenditures ($53,329) of any candidate running for Renton City Council. Alberson had the third highest campaign constibution numbers behind Carmen Rivera with $42,944.
