After a cold week to ring in the new year, things should be warming back up to normal temperatures this weekend, and bring some of the rain we normally expect this time of year.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies today, Saturday, with a high near 44. Rain moves in Saturday night with an 80 percent chance of precipitation and a low of around 40.

Sunday brings more rain, with precipitation amounts near a half-inch, and a high near 48. Rain continues overnight with precipitation amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.

Rain continues Monday with a high of 51.

High amounts of rainfall over the weekend may cause localized flooding.
